Next Generation Jobs Team (NGJT)

If you are between the ages of 16 to 24 and a resident of Jackson, Cass, Clay, Platte or Ray County, you may qualify for The State of Missouri Next Generation Jobs Program:

FEC WILL PROVIDE:

  • 1200 jobs to area youth ages 16 - 24.

  • A quality internship experience at local businesses, non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, area schools, local city, federal and county agencies, and healthcare entities..

WHEN:

    Program will begin May 1, 2009 and will end September 30, 2009.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS:

  • Approved applicants receive 8 week internships

  • Earn $8.00 an hour

  • Work 30 hours a week

  • One day career enrichment education experience

HOW TO APPLY:

INCOME GUIDELINE FOR NGJT:

    Youth must meet the following income criteria to qualify for the program

            1                    $10,400                          4                  $21,380         2                    $14,000                          5                  $25,230

            3                    $17,320                          6                  $29,510

     

    Note: For each additional family member add $4,380

     

    Other FEC Career Center services are available if you’re over income.

     

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO FEC:

 

  • Completed Next Generation Jobs Team Application

  • Social Security Card

  • Proof of current residency (i.e. current utility bill, drivers license)

  • Proof of employment elgibility (i.e. Birth certificate, alien registration card)
