The TechHire Program provides job training and employment services for clients in IT, healthcare, advanced manufacturing and financial services. Here are just a few examples of careers you can obtain through TechHire training:

IT: Web Developer
• Perform or direct Website updates. 
• Write, design, or edit Web page content or direct others producing content. 
• Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions. 
• Back up files from Web sites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problems
Average hourly wage: $25.20

Healthcare: Medical Records and Health Information Technician
• Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained. 
• Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations. 
• Retrieve patient medical records for physicians, technicians, or other medical personnel. 
• Assign the patient to diagnosis-related groups (DRGs), using appropriate computer software. 
Average hourly wage: $18.53

Advanced Manufacturing: CNC Operator
• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. 
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. 
• Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. 
• Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links. 
Average hourly wage: $20.87

Financial Services: Accounting Assistant
• Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. 
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. 
• Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. 
• Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. 
Average hourly wage: $18.75

Slots are available based on funding. Must meet program eligibility requirements.
