Lavelle Maddox Success Story

Congratulations, Lavelle Maddox
Clay County | Northern Region Career Center
Lavelle Maddox had been employed through a temporary staffing agency and came to the Clay County Full Employment Council location seeking full-time, permanent employment in the advanced manufacturing sector. He completed his eligibility documents and was approved for dislocated worker status. As part of the placement process, Mr. Maddox interviewed with Johnson Controls and made a good impression. An on-the-job training (OJT) agreement was established with Johnson Controls for Lavelle and he started his OJT there in October, 2016. To assist him with transportation to and from work, Mr. Maddox received a Quik Trip gas card. He completed the OJT on December 26, 2016, and was on-boarded as a permanent full-time employee on December 27, 2016 at Johnson Controls. Today, Lavelle is a Production Team Member-Computer Numeric Control (CNC) making $18 per hour working 40 hours per week.
